Absolutely unique colonne- or floorlamp named "Svincolo" by Ettore Sottsass. Build in 1979 and features in several design-books as THE post-modern design-item of that year (see page 218 of "Design", issued by Librero in 2005) This is one of the 7 ever made of these floorlamps. They were part of the Bauhaus-collection for Studio Alchimia, which was the inspirational step-off for the a year later starting world famous Memphis collection. The lamp features a blue print on white formica and two neon-lightbars in a chrome base on top of the colonne. The total height is 2m50. In addition to the lamp is the original invoice and a rare printed sketchbook with Sottsass's original handwritten notes and drawings of the entire Bauhaus / Alchimia collection.
